-Knitting Pattern-

The Diane Cardigan is a drop shoulder cardigan worked top down. First, the back yoke is worked with short rows to make the shoulder slope. Then, each shoulder is picked up from the back piece and worked back and forth. When the front and the back yokes are done, the pieces are joined together and worked to the hem. The body is bound off with the decorative details. The sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round. The button bands are picked up from front and back and worked in double knit with sewn button holes. Finally, the neck band is worked in the same way as the button bands.

This pattern is designed to have 10-15cm / 4-6” of positive ease.

2XS: Finished bust 36¼ inches, 92 cm, 6 balls
XS: Finished bust 38½ inches, 98 cm, 7 balls
S: Finished bust 40¼ inches, 102 cm, 7 balls
M: Finished bust 41¾ inches, 106 cm, 7 balls
L: Finished bust 43¼ inches, 110 cm, 8 balls
XL: Finished bust 46½ inches, 118 cm, 8-9 balls
2XL: Finished bust 49½ inches, 126 cm, 9 balls
3XL: Finished bust 52¾  inches, 134 cm, 10 balls
